VANCOUVER, BC – Steamworks Brewing and Brassneck Brewing have announced details of a new collaborative brew that will be released at a co-presented dinner event next week.
Firewalker Smokey Porter was brewed in late January when Brassneck’s Conrad Gmoser joined Caolan Vaughan and his team at Steamworks for a brew day. The resulting 6.5% abv and 40 IBU ale is described as follows:
Our Firewalker Smokey Porter pours near black and is complimented by a silky like tan head. A subtle smokey beechwood aroma gives way to palate coating chocolate & coffee-like notes. Finishing hops give balance to this porter with medium earthy bitter goodness.
Firewalker will be one of the featured beers at a Steamworks/Brassneck Brewmasters’ Dinner taking place next Wednesday March 12th at the Steamworks Brewpub. It will also be available in bottles at the Steamworks retail store and other select liquor stores in British Columbia.
