HAMILTON, ON – Renowned record label and event production company Sonic Unyon has announced that its latest project will be Hamilton’s first large scale craft beer festival.
The Because Beer Craft Beer Festival is set to take place on July 11th and 12th in Hamilton’s Pier 4 Park, and will feature “craft beer sampling from over 20 craft beer companies, a BJCP-sanctioned homebrew competition, a music stage, guest speakers, and specialty food trucks.”
Breweries confirmed to be participating so far include Mill Street, Flying Monkeys, Ontario Beer Company, Nickel Brook, McAuslan, Double Trouble, Collective Arts and Wellington. Speakers and presenters will include Certified Cicerone and beer columnist Crystal Luxmore, brewers Michael Duggan and Brad Clifford of Ontario Brewing Company, and hop grower Hugh Brown of Heritage Hill Organics.
Tickets to Because Beer are available now, priced at $25 for a single day pass (including a tasting mug and 4 tasting tickets), or $40 for a two day pass (including an additional 6 tasting tickets). Additional tasting tickets will be available on site for $1 each.
