OTTAWA, ON – Kichesippi Beer Co. has announced that the spring installment in its Wuchak Series of seasonal IPA releases is set to return.
Named after the Algonquin word for “groundhog” – and source of the English word “woodchuck” – the Wuchak series features four distinctive India Pale Ales that are rotated on a seasonal basis.
Spring is represented by Wuchak Polaris, a 5.9% abv and 66 IBU ale that is described as follows:
A Bavarian spin on a classic West Coast India Pale Ale. Brewed with German malts, a special German ale yeast, and 100% Polaris hops from Bavaria. Kichesippi was the first and only brewery in Canada to use Polaris hops, and we are the largest contractor of this hop in the world. We have worked directly with the grower and variety owner, BayWa, to bring you this one-of-a-kind Bavarian IPA.
