Mill Street Announces 4th Annual Partnership with Earth Day Canada

TORONTO, ON – For the fourth year running, Mill Street Brewery is partnering with Earth Day Canada to help raise funds and awareness for environmental issues that affect our planet and communities.

This year’s campaign kicks off this coming Saturday March 29th from 8:30 to 9:30 PM when more than 60 venues in Toronto – including Mill Street Brew Pub and The Beer Hall – will take part in “Lights Out for Mill Street” during Earth Hour. The candle-lit events will feature live acoustic entertainment, and 50 cents from each Mill Street pint served at all venues will be donated to Earth Day Canada.

Donations will also be made based on sales of Mill Street brands at the LCBO during the “Pint for the Planet” campaign. From March 30th to April 26th, each six pack sold will contribute a 50 cent donation to Earth Day, and single cans will translate to a 10 cent contribution.

The campaign will be capped off with an Earth Day Gala at The Beer Hall in June, where Mill Street will announce the final tally of money raised during the campaign, and will also present the 2014 Hometown Heroes Small Business Award, recognizing environmental leaders who create meaningful community awareness and action.
