Dead Frog Announces The Big Squeeze Imperial Pepper Lime Lager

ALDERGROVE, BCDead Frog Brewery has announced the release of a new limited edition beer that amps up the recipe of the discontinued Pepper Lime Lager, creating a new concoction that “will completely change your mind about Mexican-style beer.”

The Big Squeeze Imperial Pepper Lime Lager is described as follows:

Beginning with a high gravity cerveza made with flaked Amarillo Ancho Mexican heritage corn to give a lighter body, we added cracked Malabar black pepper for its aromatics and spice. The brew was then transferred to a Don Julio Añejo tequila barrel for slow lagering. In the final step, Mexican key lime zest was added for its classic refreshing zing. At 13% ABV, The Big Squeeze is no Plácido Domingo. This Corona crusher erupts with the power of Volcán de Colima and will completely change your mind about Mexican-style beer.

The label text goes on to include some additional important information:

Our brewmaster Tony Dewald was half way down the block with two middle fingers in the air before we told him this was fake. We managed to coax him back with an extra helping of Maris Otter floor malts for his next actual brew.

Happy April Fools Day, everyone!
