GUELPH, ON – Wellington Brewery has released the latest installment in the Welly One-Off Series of limited edition beers, and has announced that an earlier beer in the series will be returning soon in a new format and wider distribution.
Available now in a limited run of cans at the Wellington retail store is S’Wheat Thang, a 5.5% abv unfiltered wheat ale that is described as follows:
After a long and brutal winter, we’re welcoming the spring with a crisp and hoppy wheat ale. S’wheat Thang has an unfiltered wheat body with a balanced bitterness from Cascade, Amarillo, and Sorachi Ace hops. With notes of lemon, orange and tropical fruit, this crisp and refreshing wheat ale is the perfect beer to kick off the s’wheat s’wheat springtime!
Coming soon is the return of Chocolate Milk Stout, a previous Welly One-Off that has the following description:
A robust and smooth chocolately stout brewed with fair trade Peruvian cocoa powder, lactose (milk sugar) and a touch of flaked oats. With an inviting aroma of dark chocolate and a silky smooth unfiltered malt body, this unique stout is the perfect winter treat.
Chocolate Milk Stout will be the first Welly One-Off to be available at the LCBO, with 750 ml swing-top bottles set to be on shelves at select outlets in late April or early May. A series of LCBO releases for other Welly One-Off and Welly Re-Booted beers will follow in the fall.
