TORONTO, ON – The Canadian Amateur Brewers Association (CABA) has announced details for the 2014 edition of the Great Canadian Homebrew Competition, as well as the date for this year’s Great Canadian Homebrew Conference.
Homebrewers from across the country are encouraged to enter the Competition, which is being sponsored this year by Black Oak Brewing and Beer Grains Supply Co. Beers should be brewed to BJCP 2008 style guidelines, and must be received by May 22nd, with judging to take place at a series of tasting sessions from May 29th to June 8th. Competition winners will be announced at the Great Canadian Homebrew Conference, which is set for Saturday June 21st in Toronto. The venue and other details for the Conference will be announced at a later date.
Are we really expected to fill out the recipe forms? I don’t see why/how this is relavent to judging. I get it for the categories requiring the extra info for special ingredients, but do you need a mild recipe to judge a mild?
