WHISTLER, BC – Pique Newsmagazine reports that Deep Cove Brewers and Whistler Brewing have been enlisted by the organizers of the Whistler Village Beer Festival (WVBF) to collaborate on an official preview beer for the 2014 edition of the event.
The yet-to-be-named ale will be brewed at the Deep Cove facility, and is planned to be a session ale of around 4.5% abv brewed with Pacific Northwest hops sourced from small scale producers Hooh Hops out of Lillooet, BC.
The beer is expected to be released in late May, just before early bird tickets for WVBF 2014 go on sale on June 5th. The release will be limited to between 1,000 and 1,500 650 ml bomber bottles which will be available at select private liquor stores throughout the Sea-to-Sky Corridor while supplies last.
The Whistler Village Beer Festival 2014 will take place on September 11th to 14th. For more details, see the WVBF website.
