BOULDER, CO – Several Canadian homebrewing clubs and organizations have announced plans to participate in this weekend’s American Homebrewers Association Big Brew, an annual event held on the first Saturday in May as a celebration of National Homebrew Day on May 7th.
While participants in the yearly event are primarily based in the U.S., the Big Brew has had increasing international recognition from year to year, and for 2014, three Canadian events have been officially listed:
- Brewnosers Big Brew Day in Halifax, NS
- London Homebrewers Guild Big Brew at Brewhaven in London, ON
- Together We’re Bitter Co-operative Brewing’s Homebrew Demo and Jamboree in Kitchener, ON
Even if there is no official event in their area, homebrewers across the country are encouraged to participate in the Big Brew, and consider brewing one of the official recipes, including Regal Pale Ale, Split Open and Melt Imperial Stout and Black Dog Lager Schwarzbier.
