CALGARY, AB – Big Rock Brewery has announced details of the latest installment in the Brewmaster’s Edition series of specialty beers.
Rhine Stone Cowboy Kölsch Style Ale is Big Rock’s take on the traditional Kölsch from Cologne, Germany, and is described as follows:
Brewmaster Paul Gautreau combined German Hallertau hops with Alberta-grown pale and Vienna malts – a righteous ale to its soul but mellowed to near freezing like a lager. Paul explains, “Rhine Stone Cowboy is an ale that wants to be a lager. We used a special Kölsch ale yeast fermented at lager temperatures and left it to mature for months. It is light and delicate with a subtle fruity character.”
Rhine Stone Cowboy will be available at liquor stores and bars in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Manitoba while supplies last.
