CORNWALL, ON – The first ever beer festival to take place in the easternmost counties of Ontario has been announced for the end of this month, with at least a dozen breweries expected to be on hand to serve samples to attendees.
The Eastern Ontario Festival of Beers will happen on Saturday May 31st at the NAV Centre in Cornwall, with two sampling sessions – 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM – featuring beer from local breweries including Cassel Brewery, Beau’s All Natural Brewing, Whitewater Brewing, Broadhead Brewing and Turtle Island Brewing, as well as breweries from elsewhere in Ontario and Canada.
The still in development Cornwall brewery Rurban Brewing will also have an exhibit on site, and County Cider Company from Prince Edward County will be there to offer an alternative to the 50+ beers that are planned to be available.
Tickets for both sessions of the Eastern Ontario Festival of Beers are now available online, with the $32.50 (plus fees) ticket cost covering admission, $5 in food vouchers, and $5 in beer sampling tickets. Additional sampling tickets will be available on-site.
