TORONTO, ON – Amsterdam Brewery has announced the return of Oranje Weisse, a summer seasonal that will once again be available to enjoy through the warmer months.
Named after the “Oranje” nickname given to the Netherlands National Football Team, Oranje Weisse is described as follows:
To craft our Oranje Weisse, we start by adding unmalted wheat grain to our barley malt to give the beer a cloudy appearance and a creamy smoothness. Then we add lots of orange peel to give it a zesty citrus flavour. Coriander and a touch of anise finish the spice profile with some bitter spice backing and some fennel/liquorice notes from the anise that balance the citrus nicely. Oranje Weisse is lightly hopped and very sessionable at 12 IBU and pours a hazy golden straw colour with a tight, creamy head.
This year’s release of Orange Weisse is available now in 500 ml bottles at select LCBO and Beer Store outlets and both Amsterdam Brewery retail stores in Toronto.
