SURREY, BC – Central City Brewing has announced the release of a new beer, and the simultaneous rebranding and relaunch of another.
The new beer – Red Racer Copper Ale – is described as follows:
A light bodied, easy-drinking, American-style amber ale with a pleasantly dry finish, Red Racer Copper Ale is made with toasted Munich malt, which gives it both its reddish, amber colour and malty flavour, and is blended with Caravienne and Caramunich malts. Copper Ale is subtly balanced with German Perle and Amarillo hops and is nicely paired with BBQ and pork dishes, fruit salad, and even caramel pecan pie.
Getting a new name is Red Racer ESB, which is now dubbed Red Racer India-Style Red Ale, and has the following tasting notes:
The use of pale malts and crystal malts from the United Kingdom lend to this beer’s flavour and hop profile. A healthy dose of hops from the Pacific Northwest balances the full malty body.
Both beers are available now on draught, and will be out soon in 500 ml cans at select liquor stores in British Columbia.
