GUELPH, ON – The Guelph Mercury reports that Royal City Brewing is now open and offering growlers and kegs to thirsty Guelphites.
Founded by Russell Bateman and Cameron Fryer, Royal City is concentrating on three flagship brands – Smoked Honey, Dry Hopped Pale Ale and Morning Stout – along with various seasonal and one-off beers such as Gordon Hill Hefeweizen and Gateway IPA.
Royal City beers started appearing on tap at select pubs in the area including Baker St. Station and The Woolwich Arrow in early June, with the brewery taproom and retail store opening at 199 Victoria Road South on June 14th.
As with most new brewery start-ups, demand for Royal City’s beers as been strong, and they are brewing as often as possible to keep up. Regular retail hours 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday and Friday, and 11:00 to 7:00 PM on Saturday.
