PENTICTON, BCCannery Brewing has announced the release of a new beer brewed especially for the second installment of a now annual sporting event that will be happening in Penticton this coming weekend.

Triathalager is a “crisp, clean, light and refreshing” lager that marks the brewery’s sponsorship of Valley First Challenge Penticton Canada, one of 26 Challenge-branded triathlon events that take place in 16 countries around the world.

Triathalager was named via a contest that had 269 names submitted, with Gordon Hehn and Traci Russell both suggesting it. As winners, Hehn and Russell received prize packages from Cannery and Challenge Penticton, and have their names mentioned on the packaging.

Triathalager is available now in 355 ml cans at government and private liquor stores in the Penticton area, and on tap at select bars and restaurants in the region.

  1. If any of you are coming to Toronto, please bring some with you. Too many IPAs here, not enough “crisp, clean, refreshing” lagers!
