TORONTO, ON – With this year’s edition of Toronto Beer Week just over a week away, local breweries and beer bars are rapidly revealing their plans for the week, and Indie Alehouse has a pair unique events planned for TBW’s opening weekend.
On Saturday September 13th, Indie is teaming up with local beer website and forum The Bar Towel to present The Sacred Oak, a tasting event featuring barrel-aged beers from Indie and other local breweries. Taking place in Indie’s barrel aging facility at 165 Geary Ave., the event will feature two sessions – 1:00-4:00 PM and 5:00-8:00 PM – and a $25 ticket cost which includes admission, a tasting glass, and 2 drink tokens. Additional tokens will be sold on site for $2, and food will be available for purchase as well.
The following day – Sunday September 14th – at the same venue, Indie will be presenting the 2nd annual Home Brew Tap Takeover, featuring 21 beers brewed on Indie’s pilot system by local homebrewers. The single session – 1:00-4:00 PM – has a $10 admission cost, which covers a tasting glass and 2 drink tokens, with additional tokens available for $1.50 each.
