CALGARY, AB – Wild Rose Brewery has announced the upcoming release of the latest in its Seasonal Collection of limited edition beers.
Roggen’s Heroes is a 5.5% abv Oktoberfest lager with the following description:
This traditional Oktoberfest lager is our tribute to the funniest POWs, Hogan & his Heroes. We believe everyone in Stalag 13 from Colonel Klink to Sergeant Schultz would have been clamouring for a Bierkrug of this malty brew. This rich amber lager is brewery in the traditional Märzen tradition. But the addition of Roggen (Rye) Malt lends it a spicy character. In another unique twist we’ve added Wakatu hops from New Zealand to give it a slightly citrus character. Glückliches Oktoberfest!
Wild Rose Roggen’s Heroes will be released tomorrow (September 25th) in a limited run of 650 ml bottles that will be available at the Wild Rose retail store and select liquor retailers in Alberta. It will also be the feature beer at the Wild Rose Oktoberfest celebration, taking place next Monday September 29th at the brewery.
