TORONTO, ON – Amsterdam Brewing has announced the return of a seasonal beer that takes full advantage of the recent hops harvest.
Autumn Hop Harvest Ale is a 5.6% abv and 55 IBU beer made with freshly picked hops from Clear Valley Hops in Collingwood, Ontario. It’s described as follows:
The Amsterdam brewing team went to Clear Valley Hops to select what they thought to be the freshest and most flavourful Cascade hop vines, and these vines were then harvested immediately. Once the hop flowers were plucked from the vines and bagged up, they were brought back to the brewery for immediate use in the brewing process. Autumn Hop, the result of this wet hopped brew, pours a golden amber colour with a light head. The beer has sweet malty flavours like biscuit and caramel up front, before finishing with grapefruit and pine bitterness from the fresh Cascade hops. Autumn Hop has an incredible aroma due to the fresh Cascade hop flowers, providing a grassy, citrusy nose.
Amsterdam Autumn Hop Harvest Ale is available now at both Amsterdam retail locations in Toronto, and at select LCBO outlets across the province, in 500 ml bottles selling for $4.95 while supplies last.
