TORONTO, ON – Following a successful inaugural version last year, Toronto-based beer writer Stephen Beaumont has teamed up once again with England’s Tim Webb to put together Pocket Beer Guide 2015, a densely packed guide to 3,500 of the world’s best craft and traditional beers.
Published in North America by Firefly Books, Pocket Beer Guide 2015 has the following description:
The book organizes the 3,500 thumbnail reviews by country, 65 in all. The authors and international experts provide succinct commentary on each beer, its key characteristics and the region where beer lovers can best experience the beer in its original culture and setting. The brews cover the extraordinary variety that the world has to offer, from Belgium’s Trappist beers to Britain’s stouts and North America’s craft brews. The selections range from traditional favorites to exciting discoveries.
In addition to the reviews, the 320-page book also includes profiles of notable beer destinations, tips on beer and food pairing, and more.
Pocket Beer Guide 2015 will be officially released in North America on November 4th, and will retail for $19.95 in Canada and the US.
To mark the release, Stephen Beaumont will be doing a promotional tour in early October through a number of US cities, and is planning to hold a hometown release party in Toronto later in the month. See his blog post about the release and tour for more details.
