REGINA, SK – Each spring, the Ale and Lager Enthusiasts of Saskatchewan (ALES) homebrewers club presents the ALES Open Brewing Competition – the largest amateur brewing competition in Canada – at the Bushwakker Brewpub in Regina.

One of the perks of taking the “Best of Show” award at the competition is the chance to have your beer brewed for commercial release at Bushwakker, and this past week, the 2014 winner was tapped for the first time.

Seems Legit Milk Stout was created by Alvaro Reyes of Surrey, BC, a member of the Vanbrewers homebrew club in Vancouver. Described as being “dark, rich, roasty, full-bodied and creamy,” the 5.9% stout was brewed in May and was aged for nearly 5 months before being tapped.

Seems Legit Milk Stout is available on tap and in growlers at Bushwakker while supplies last.
