NORTH VANCOUVER, BC – Deep Cove Brewers has announced plans to release a beer in honour of Tim Jones, a legendary B.C. mountain rescuer who passed away earlier this year while coming down from a rescue cabin on Mount Seymour.
Shredder Golden Ale – named after Jones’ long-standing nickname – was brewed last week, and is described as follows:
Shredder Golden Ale was designed to be a beer that Tim would have enjoyed with his family, friends and husky after a call well done. A nice, rounded malt body featuring biscuit and honeysuckle notes leads into a pleasing herbal hoppiness. Refreshing and sessionable, this honey coloured ale is best enjoyed while appreciating all that the North Shore has to offer.
Shredder Golden Ale will be released on November 15th in partnership with North Shore Rescue, and all proceeds will be donated to the Tim Jones Legacy Fund.
