EDMONTON, AB – Alley Kat Brewing has announced details of two new beers that will be coming out later this month – one of them the latest in its Dragon Series of limited edition single-hop Double IPAs, and the other the return of a popular seasonal brand in a special edition that anticipates next year’s 20th anniversary of the brewery.
Brewed to 7.5% abv and 75+ IBUs, White Dragon was made using Chinook hops which provide “a distinct piney aroma and a mild fruitiness”. It will be released on Thursday November 6th in 650 ml bottles available at the Alley Kat brewery store and select liquor stores and bars in Alberta.
Following on Thursday November 13th will be the anniversary edition of Olde Deuteronomy Barley Wine, a 10.3% abv and 75 IBU barley wine that has not been brewed since 2011. Described as having notes of caramel malt, dried fruits, citrus and plum, Old Deuteronomy will be released in a limited run of 341 ml bottles.
