ALDERGROVE, BC – At a tasting event held last week at Bitter Tasting Room in Vancouver, Dead Frog Brewery gave attendees a first look at a new Dead Frog Winter Mixer pack, as well as an advance preview of the next two installments the brewery’s series of limited edition bomber releases.
This year’s Winter Mixer is a 12-pack that includes two year round brands – The Bold Belgian Pale Ale and The Classic Nut Brown Ale – along with Rocket Man Interstellar ESB, previously a limited bomber release; and the brand new Winter Seasonal Amber Ale, which is described as follows:
A smooth, rich, amber ale with hints of caramel, vanilla, and winter spices. Citra hops add a distinct and refreshing citrus flavour and aroma while balancing perfectly with a robust and slightly sweet malt base.
The Winter Mixer pack and 6-packs of Winter Seasonal Amber Ale are available now until March at select liquor stores in British Columbia.
Coming out shortly in the 650 ml series will be this year’s edition of Winter Beeracle, which beer news website Beer Me BC reports to be a “sweet, creamy and a warming” 7.5% abv winter ale that “incorporates hazelnuts to give a creamy and nutty tone which its predecessors lacked.” And by the end of the month, it will be joined by Nutty Uncle Peanut Butter Stout, a strong stout brewed with lactose, chocolate and peanut butter.
