TORONTO, ON – Beer Academy has announced the launch of a new seasonal beer that has been carefully aging for the last 6 months before this week’s release.
Beer Academy Imperial Stout is a 9.1% abv and 50 IBU winter warmer that is described as follows:
Imperial Stout has notes of bitter dark chocolate, toasted bread and a touch of fruit initially on the nose. It shows off a pitch black body with a mocha foam that is lush and full. The first sip breaks out roasted grains, bakers chocolate and coffee with a smooth linger of tart cherry and bitterness (both from careful hopping and dark malts). Further into the beer some vanilla, dark caramel and nougat hint right down the middle. The body is rich but smooth, showing no heat from its strength thanks to 6 months of conditioning. It finishes gently with light roast and cocoa on the back end.
Beer Academy Imperial Stout is available on tap now in the Beer Academy tasting room, and bottles will be available for take-home purchase starting this Friday (November 21st).
