PAKENHAM, ON – Cartwright Springs Brewery, which is set to open early next year in the small community of Pakenham near Ottawa, has announced the launch of a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign to assist in the construction of a tasting room at the brewery.
As explained on the campaign page:
Due to unforeseen permit and licensing costs, we are short on funds required to make our retail space and tasting room into the comfortable and inviting space we envision for hosting our customers. We’ll be using the money from this campaign to create a space that will reflect our beer, our craft and our community.
The brewery’s founders – André Rieux, Eduardo Guerra and Hien Hoang – are aiming to raise $12,000 for the project by January 9th. As of the time of writing, the campaign has already attracted 52 backers who have pledged $7,060.
