TORONTO, ON – As reported here on CBN last week, Amsterdam Brewery will be releasing this year’s edition of Barrel Aged Double Tempest Imperial Stout this coming Saturday December 6th – and now, full details for the release have been made available.
Brewed with double the malts and double the hops of the standard Tempest Imperial Stout, and then aged for 11 months in Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, the 14% abv and 115 IBU Double Tempest will go on sale at 11:00 AM on Saturday at both the Amsterdam Brewery and Amsterdam Brewhouse retail locations, selling for $15 per 650 ml bottles.
The first 10 people in line at each store will receive a limited edition linocut Double Tempest poster, and all customers who buy the maximum allotment of 4 bottles per person will get a free Amsterdam Adventure Brew branded glass.
In addition to being launched in bottles, Double Tempest will also be going on draught at the Brewhouse on Saturday, where it will be available on its own or as part of a special Stout Flight featuring Tempest, Double Tempest, Full City Tempest with Kona Coffee, and Sour Cherry Imperial Stout. An assortment of other Adventure Brews and other rarities will also be on tap.
