REVELSTOKE, BC – The Revelstoke Times Review reports that Mt. Begbie Brewing is planning a move from its current location in downtown Revelstoke to a new and larger facility in the Johnson Heights area of the city.
According to the article, the new brewery would be between 12,000 and 15,000 square feet, and would allow Mt. Begbie to increase capacity from 6,000 to 15,000 hectolitres per year, as well offer brewery tours and other amenities not possible in the current smaller location.
The move will require the property at 2155 Oak Drive in Johnson Heights to be rezoned to allow a brewery to be located there, but assuming it’s approved, owners Tracy and Bart Larson hope to start construction on a new facility in the fall of 2015.
