SURREY, BC – The Vancouver Sun reports that Simon Fraser University is getting set to offer a new Continuing Studies program aimed at those who would like to learn more about beer and the process of brewing.
Craft Beer and Brewing Essentials will be a 130-hour non-credit program launching this fall that will focus on “brewing and brewing science, ingredient development, beer quality assessment, and business fundamentals.”
The program will also include a 40-hour lab component that is planned to be held at the Central City Brew Pub, which is located in the same development as SFU’s Surrey campus.
An information session on the program will be held at the Surrey campus on January 27th, with additional sessions in March and May in Vancouver.
To register for one of the sessions or to get more information on the program, see the Craft Beer and Brewing Essentials section of the SFU Continuing Studies website.
