OTTAWA, ON – Ottawa Beer Events reports that the newest microbrewery in the National Capital Region is getting set to open this coming weekend.
Founded by namesake brewer Andy Nita and his wife Bridget Carey, Nita Beer Company will be opening on Saturday January 31st at 11:00 AM.
Located 190 Colonnade Rd. in the Nepean area of Ottawa, the brewery will be launching with Ten12, a 5% abv beer described as being “lightly malted with a smooth taste and a crisp finish,” and possibly OPA – a 6% abv IPA with “assertive hop bitterness, balanced flavour and smooth finish” – if Andy considers it to be ready for release.
Retail options will initially feature growlers in 0.95 and 1.89 litre sizes, with cans planned to follow later this year. An in a unique move, customers can pre-order their growlers online for quick pick-up in the retail store.
