HALIFAX, NS & ST. JOHN’S, NL – Garrison Brewing has announced the release of a new beer created especially for members of Newfoundland’s specialty beer ordering club Beerthief.
Imperial Chocolate Stout is the first beer to be custom made for the club, and is described as follows:
At 10% alc/vol, Imperial Chocolate Stout was brewed big and bold for the time year and for Newfoundland’s craft beer fans. “We love making beer for beer lovers” said Brian Titus, CEO of Garrison Brewing. “This beer is robust and full of flavour, in part because of the actual coca husks and nibs used in the process.”
The beer also features a specially designed label selected by Beerthief members:
The winning design highlights original artwork from Jennah Turpin with her sketch of “Herman”. It was submitted in memory of her sister Sarah Turpin, also a member, who tragically passed away in October, 2014. As a result, Garrison has decided to donate a portion of the sale of each bottle to assisting her young family.
Imperial Chocolate Stout available now in 650 ml at NLC locations throughout Newfoundland, along with several other Garrison brands including Irish Red Ale, India Pale Ale and Black IPA. A limited number of bottles have also been held for sale in Nova Scotia, where it will be available at the Garrison retail shop and the province’s private liquor stores.
I really enjoyed this stout.
