GUELPH, ON – F&M Brewery has announced that it is under new ownership, and will also be changing its name – although the new monicker will be familiar to fans of the brewery.
New owners Phil and Lesley Woodhouse issued a release today announcing that the company will now be known as StoneHammer Brewing, after the long-established brand name of many of the beers in the brewery’s line-up.
Aside from the ownership shuffle, no personnel changes are planned for the brewery. Most notably, brewmaster George Eagleson remains in place, and will continue brewing core brands – StoneHammer Dark, Pilsner, Light, Pale Ale and Oatmeal Coffee Stout – as well as occasional seasonals and one-offs, including an upcoming “special brew […] to inaugurate this exciting new era of the brewery’s history.”
