CALGARY, AB – The Calgary Sun reports that an iconic bar on Calgary’s Red Mile strip is set to be replaced by a new brewery and restaurant.
Trolley Five Brew Co. is being developed by Wayne Leong – owner of the shuttered and soon-to-be-demolished Melrose Bar – in partnership with Ernie Tsu and PJ L’Heureux, both of whom are well-established in the bar and hospitality industry.
The original Melrose building at 730 17 Ave. is being torn down this week, and the construction of Trolley Five is expected to start soon afterwards, with a target opening date of late 2015 or early 2016.
