SURREY, BC – Russell Brewing has announced details of the next release in the Russell Specialty Series of limited edition beers.
Punch Bowl IPA is a 6.5% abv and 65 IBU Northwest-style IPA with the following description:
Subtle NW malt characters are combined with Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo hops to create tropical, fruity flavours such as stone fruit, berries and melon. India Pale Ale was a beer created to make the trip from England to India; Punch was a fruit drink introduced to England from India. So as tribute to full flavoured beer and to party drinks that can be spiked, may we present the Punch Bowl!
A lunch party for Punch Bowl IPA will take place tomorrow (March 11th) at the Beagle Pub in Victoria, with a special cask of the beer being tapped at 5:30 PM. It will subsequently be available on tap, and in a limited run of 650 ml bottles available at select liquor stores in British Columbia while supplies last.
