POWELL RIVER, BC – Townsite Brewing has announced the release of this year’s edition of its spring seasonal brand.
Townsite Charleston is a 9% abv Belgian Tripel that was originally released in 2012 as the first in a series of beers named after The Hulks, a group of decommissioned ships that form a floating breakwater in the Powell River near the brewery. It subsequently returned in 2014 as a now annual release.
This year’s vintage of Charleston is described by Brewmaster Cédric Dauchot as being his best version yet. “This straw colour is exactly what I am aiming for,” he says in the press release, adding that “the yeast really stood up to the sugar and I am very happy with the dryness this year.”
Townsite Charleston will be released this month in a limited run of 650 ml bottles, available at the Townsite retail store and select private liquor stores in British Columbia.
