SASKATOON, SK – Prairie-based beer blog On Beer reports that a nanobrewery founded by two long-time amateur brewers is getting set to open its doors is Saskatoon next month.

9 Mile Legacy Brewing is the culmination of many years of collaborative homebrewing between partners Shawn Moen and Garrett Pederson.

Named after the fact that their respective families once owned farms nine miles apart near Swift Current, 9 Mile Legacy is located in a business incubator space in the Riversdale neighbourhood near the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market, and features a compact 150-litre brewhouse where the duo plan to brew a rotating line-up of ales, with up to four available at any given time.

Moen and Pederson are aiming to open the brewery by late April, and will be offering on-site growler sales and limited draught to select local licensees.
