CREEMORE, ON – Creemore Springs Brewery has announced a reformulation and relaunch of its Traditional Pilsner brand, with a new name and packaging that pays tribute to the history of the brewery’s home town.
Now known as Lot 9 Pilsner, the 4.7% abv Czech-style lager features the same ingredients as the original version, but used in different proportions to result in “a soft, sweet and fresh bready front with a very mild, quenching hop finish and a lowered ABV%”.
The full story behind the new branding is as follows:
LOT 9 was one of the first land grants built upon in Creemore some 200 years ago. It was rugged, rocky, and darn-near unfarmable at the time. But through hard work and sheer determination, the original founders of Creemore transformed this unlikely patch of land into some of the most prosperous field crops around. To honour this, we brew LOT 9 – a pilsner as golden as the fields themselves, and as refreshing as the river that ran through them. So roll up your sleeves and raise a glass to an honest day’s hard work!
Creemore Springs Lot 9 Pilsner will be available in Ontario (473 ml cans, 12 x 341 ml bottles & draught), Quebec (6 x 341 ml bottles) and select locations in Western Canada (473 ml cans).
