Phillips Launches Contest to Rename Coulrophobia IRA

VICTORIA, BC – Just six months after it was first released, Phillips Brewing has decided that a beer named after the word describing a fear of clowns needs a new name, and a contest is being held to come up with one.

According to the contest announcement, the name of Coulrophobia India Red Ale is too difficult to pronounce – especially “after a few sips” – so the brewery is looking to its customers to assist in renaming it.

Suggestions can be posted on the Phillips Facebook page until April 3rd, and a shortlist of finalists will go up for a public vote until April 10th. The winning entry will be awarded a round-trip flight for two from Vancouver to Las Vegas, two nights in a hotel, and a pair of tickets to see Cirque du Soleil.
