KELOWNA, BC – BC Tree Fruits, a co-operative of more than 500 fruit growers in BC’s Okanagan Valley, has announced the launch of a new initiative that sees it entering the alcoholic beverage market for the first time in its almost 80 year history.
BC Tree Fruits Cider Co. is a cidery and soon-to-open tasting room located in Kelowna, with production being overseen by expert cider and wine maker Bertus Albertyn.
The first product from the new venture is Broken Ladder, a 5.5% abv cider made with an exclusive blend of six locally grown apple varieties and no sweeteners or other additives.
Broken Ladder is available now in 473 ml cans at select BC Liquor Stores, private beer and wine stores, and restaurants in British Columbia. For more information, see the BC Tree Fruits Cider website and Facebook page.
