VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has announced the release of a new limited edition beer that is said to be “inspired by the land of the Kiwi.”
Apteryx India Pale Ale – named for the scientific genus of the kiwi bird – is a 6.5% abv dry-hopped IPA brewed using New-Zealand grown Nelson Sauvin hops that impart notes of fruity white wine. The beer is described as follows:
Apteryx pours a clear apricot colour with a marshmallow white head. A medium-bodied malt base highlights notes of tropical fruits, gooseberries, nettles, and freshly crushed grapes. Finishes dry.
Apteryx is available now in 650 ml bottles at select private liquor stores in British Columbia. It will also be on tap for free sampling during a drop-in event at the Phillips brewery this Thursday April 23rd from 4:00 to 6:00 PM
