HALIFAX, NS – Metro Halifax reports that the future of Rogues Roost Brew Pub is in question due to a plan to demolish the building it calls home.
Open in downtown Halifax since 1999, and owned by the PEI-based Murphy Hospitality Group since last October, Rogues Roost shares a building with several other businesses, all of which will be displaced by the demolition which is expected to take place before the end of the year in order to clear the property for a new development.
According to the report, neighbouring bar Tom’s Little Havana plans to close on October 1st, and will be relocating to a new location nearby. Rogues Roost, however, has made no announcement regarding the possibility of a relocation, although an employee tells the paper that the company “has a back-up plan in the works and are waiting on official word from the building’s owner.”
