CREEMORE, ON – Almost five years after it was originally approved, and more than two years after work finally got underway, the $14 million renovation and expansion project at Creemore Springs Brewery is nearing completion.
As reported in the Collingwood Enterprise Bulletin, the brewery is planning on holding a grand re-opening party on June 24th for local supporters and partners, at which they will reveal the new retail store, and the community museum that has been set up in the former store location.
Other aspects of the expansion include a new landscaped public area with benches and bicycle lock-up areas, and an outdoor beer garden that is awaiting final planning approval. The brewery is also applying for an updated license to allow for the on-site sale of sample glasses and tasting flights, and there are plans to partner with local businesses to provide food to enjoy with the beer.
Following the public re-opening, expansion of the brewery’s fermentation cellar and other internal work will continue until 2017.
