CALGARY, AB – Dandy Brewing, Alberta’s first and only nano-brewery, has announced details of its first seasonal release, as well as the upcoming launch of a new series of ultra-limited beers.
Available for the summer months is Bright Young Things English Summer Ale, a light and session-friendly ale with the following description:
A light malt bill with touches of Victory and wheat comes together for a clean beer that is exceptional in the summer sun. With a slight bittering and Amarillo dry-hop, the beer is easy drinking with hints of citrus and grapefruit pith. Named for a group of young socialites in 1920’s London who cared for little more than lavish parties, art, and indulging, this beer is true to it’s namesake: The beer is fresh, bright, and exciting!
Bright Young Things will be officially launched today (June 1st) with a release party at Midtown Kitchen (302 10 Street NW, Calgary) starting at 6:00 PM. It will be available at the brewery store in 650 ml bottles, 20L kegs, and Pin and Firkin casks.
Following later this week is the first release in the Dandy Edition Series of limited run beers. The series will be kicking off with a Brown Sour Ale, in which “a rich brown base was brewed with organic dark cherries for a unique and compelling sour.”
Brown Sour Ale will be released on Friday June 5th in an edition of 200 bottles available exclusively at the Dandy brewery store. Future installments in the Dandy Edition Series will follow at the whim of the brewers, and will always be similarly limited in quantity.
