TRURO, NS – The Atlantic Canada Beer Blog reports that The Nook & Cranny, a pub and restaurant in Truro known for supporting craft beer and local food, has released the first beer from its on-site brewing system.
As first announced in March, the small system was installed earlier this month, and initial batches are being overseen by Brian Watson, a veteran brewmaster with years of experience consulting on new brewing operations.
Nook & Cranny’s first house brew is Blueberry Wheat, a 5% abv wheat ale infused with blueberry juice from Oxford, a nearby town known as “The Wild Blueberry Capital of Canada.”
Set to be tapped in coming weeks are Spitting Alpaca Pale Ale and Black Beer’d Black IPA. To keep up to date on when they will be available, see the Nook & Cranny Facebook page.
