RICHMOND HILL, ON – Lake Wilcox Brewing has announced plans to debut its flagship brand in Richmond Hill – a town in Ontario’s York Region, just north of Toronto – later this month.
Founded by Richmond Hill residents David De Ciantis and Ray Nicolini, Lake Wilcox will be launching with Mad Quacker Lager, a 4.7% abv and 20 IBU Vienna-style amber lager that De Ciantis describes as “a sessionable beer with lots of flavour, distinct enough as to not complete with the ever popular IPAs in the market.”
Currently being brewed under contract while the partners scout for a location to set up a brewery, Mad Quacker will initially be available at Beer Store locations and select bars and restaurants in Richmond Hill and surrounding area.
Lake Wilcox will also be pouring the beer at several festivals and events over the summer, including the Richmond Hill Ribfest and York Region Craft Beer Festival, and is planning to have Mad Quacker in LCBO stores by the fall.
