VICTORIA, BC – Lighthouse Brewing has announced the commercial release of the winning beer from the recent Ramshackle Brewer’s Challenge.
Pacific Sunset Belgo-American Mild is a 5.3% abv ale created by Matt Lyons and described as follows:
Pacific Sunset was brewed using Pilsner and Wheat malts, Amarillo and Vic Secret hops, and Belgian Ardennes yeast. The beer is a style combination of a wit malt and yeast selection. Then we hopped it aggressively like you would an American IPA. The beer pours a hazy golden colour with tight white foam. The aroma is a mix of spice, tropical fruit, and stone fruit. The flavor mimics the aroma with some cracker-like malt derived flavor coming through. It finishes with an assertively bitter finish begging to be sipped again.
Pacific Sunset is available now in 650 ml bottles at select private liquor stores in British Columbia, and in growlers at Lighthouse Brewing.
