WINNIPEG, MB – Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries has announced plans to expand growler sales in the province, following the success of a pilot project that was launched last fall.
Growler bars are currently in operation at five Liquor Mart locations and two hotel beer vendors Winnipeg and Brandon. While the announcement doesn’t indicate how many additional locations are to be added, a call for Expressions of Interest has been sent to all Manitoba beer and liquor vendors, with sales at the new outlets expected to start in November.
The program terms will also be modified to allow sales of smaller 950 ml growler bottles in addition to the more familiar 1.89 L jugs.
