KITCHENER, ON – A year after it was first announced, and 2 months ahead of schedule, Brick Brewing has officially opened it’s new consolidated brewhouse, warehousing space and retail store on Bingemans Centre Drive in Kitchener.
Branded as Waterloo Brewing – the name used for the craft-style beers that have become a major focus of Brick’s portfolio in recent years – the $9.3 million facility is 3 times larger and can produce 5 times the amount of beer in comparison to Brick’s original Waterloo location.
It is also much more efficient and environmentally friendly, using 50% less natural gas, 30% less electricity, 10% less brewing materials, and producing 50% less waste water.
The retail store offers products from the brewery’s three main brand line-ups – Waterloo, Laker, and Seagram’s coolers – in cans, as well as growler fills of select beers, and a variety of merchandise.
