VICTORIA, BC – Phillips Brewing has announced the release of a new beer that is described as an “Anniversary Ale with an anniversary of its own!”
Released to commemorate the 14th anniversary of Phillips, Super Cooper is an 11.6% abv strong ale that was aged freshly emptied bourbon barrels for a full year before dry-hopping. The result is described as having “soft malt sweetness and warm oak character from the barrel paired with the bright kick of American hops.”
Super Cooper is available now in 650 ml bottles at select private liquor stores in British Columbia. It will also be on tap for free sampling during drop-in events at the Phillips brewery this Wednesday August 19th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and at Bitter Tasting Room in Vancouver on Thursday August 20th starting at 6:00 PM.
