WHITBY, ON – Victor North of Garden Brewers has announced via a blog post that a beer developed and brewed in collaboration with his long-time friend Erin Broadfoot of 5 Paddles Brewing will soon be released via the latter brewery.
Trappist Mingle – so named because it’s based on the Trappist Single style, and “collaboration brews are really an excuse for brewers to get together and meet and mingle” – is a 6% abv ale brewed using a spicy Belgian Saison yeast and Helga hops, an Australian strain derived from Hallertau Mittelfrueh and described as “a true Australian aroma hop with a German accent.”
Trappist Mingle will be available soon in a limited run of 650 ml bottles exclusively at the 5 Paddles retail store in Whitby.
