Welcome to the CBN round-up of beer festivals for the coming week (Friday through Thursday), listed here with a bit more detail than what is featured on our popular Beer Festival Calendar page. Watch for a new instalment every Thursday – assuming there are any events scheduled for the week ahead, of course.
Saturday, August 22, 2015 – Monday, September 7, 2015
PNE CRAFT BEER FEST
PNE Fairgrounds – Vancouver, BC
The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) in partnership with Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) has announced that this year’s edition of the fair will be putting the spotlight on some of the province’s many craft breweries for the first time. The festival will feature more than 30 breweries, with some on hand for the full run, and others switching between the first and second weeks. Advance tickets are available online.
Friday, August 28, 2015 – Sunday, August 30, 2015
CNE CRAFT BEER FEST
Exhibition Place – Toronto, ON
Similar to its west coast counterpart above, the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) has also added a Craft Beer Fest this year, although it’s only running this weekend rather than the full length of the fair. Taking part in conjunction with the Food Truck Frenzy event, the Fest will offer beer from 11 Ontario craft breweries, with brewery reps on hand to pour and discuss the products. Admission is included with standard CNE admission, and sample tickets will be available on-site.
Friday, August 28, 2015 – Sunday, August 30, 2015
OTTAWA CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL
Aberdeen Pavilion, Lansdowne Park – Ottawa , ON
The 4th annual edition of the self-described “largest craft beer festival in Ontario” will feature more than 40 breweries and beer importers, along with a couple of ciders, various local food purveyors and other vendors and exhibitors. A variety of ticket options are available online and at the door.
Saturday, August 29, 2015
STEVESTON BEER FEST
Gulf of Georgia Cannery – Steveston, BC
Presented by O’Hare’s Gastropub and Liquor Store, this year’s edition of this popular event is already sold out, but those who have tickets will be able to enjoy beer and cider from a variety of craft breweries from BC and beyond, and food by a number of local merchants and producers. Partial proceeds will benefit the Richmond Christmas Fund and other local charities.
